My own band, my own money. Everything I offer clients I tested here first: an email list, paid campaigns, a direct-to-fan merch store and a release plan built for 12 months, not 3 weeks. The point was never streaming numbers β it was a real audience that shows up.
A DIY band with no label marketing machine behind it. Good records and real songs, but the usual cycle: spend two years making an album, promote it for three weeks, then move on. The challenge was to build an audience that actually shows up β to gigs, to the store, to the next release β instead of chasing streaming counts that don't fill venues.
I treated my own band as the test lab. Built an email list and newsletter, ran paid campaigns on Meta and TikTok, opened a direct-to-fan merch store, and planned releases across 12 months instead of a 3-week push. Stupido handles the gigs; everything digital runs through Cosmic Thing. No vanity dashboards β just the things that build a fanbase.
1,000+ email subscribers who actually open. A pre-launch that covered the pressing costs in 3 days. The first pressing β 300 LP + 300 CD β sold out. #9 in Soundi's 2025 readers' poll for the best Finnish album. And "Chevy Impala" (2019) is still growing: I'm still making TikToks for it, and it's now our most popular song.
